Nigeria Decides 2015: Live Update

 (12:22pm) There is still no sign of INEC officials at Lugbe King of Kings secondary school and Katampe II polling unit Mpape Bwari, area council, Abuja.

(12:20pm) Calm voters, predominantly women, are awaiting accreditation at Mogadishu Cantonement (popularly known as Sani Abacha Barracks), Abuja.
Many voters are encountering problems of where to find their names between the two voting points.

(12:16pm) Accreditation completed in most of the polling units in Oye Ekiti.

(12:13pm) A former Governor of Lagos State,Asiwaju Bola Tinubu doing
his accreditation at polling unit 047 on Kaffi/Sunday Adigun Street, Alausa, Ikeja.
(12:10pm) KANO: Women bring water/detergent with them so voters can wash to use finger scanners
 (12:08pm)  Confusion trailing where Vice President Namadi Sambo will vote in
Kaduna.

The original polling unit of the vice president at the Camp Road was
surprisingly moved from there to Police College Polling Unit in the city
centre.

Sambo failed to win in his polling unit and ward in Kaduna in the 2011
general elections.

(12:05am)  Electoral Materials yet to arrive at 8 Polling units in Anguwan Rogo Ward Jos

(11:44am): Former Vice President and chieftain of APC, Atiku Abubakar being accredited at Ajiya Ward 2, Komihina, Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State.

(11:34am):The card readers in Giza, Keana LG of Nasarawa state card readers has malfunctioned and voters await replacement.
The card reader malfunction has been rectified in Polling Unit 10 Ward 9 Calabar South and accreditation is ongoing.

 (11:09am): Peaceful accreditation ongoing at polling unit 001, Omagwa in Rivers State.
 (11:08am): The APC Vice Presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and his wife waiting to vote after accreditation at VGC, Lagos
 (11:07am): Accreditation is going on smoothly at popular places in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital. Accreditation going on at polling centres along Ring Road and in Molete a‎rea of the city with military personnel stationed at flashpoints. ‎Soldiers were seen at Challenge roundabout, Molete roundabout and the popular Iwo road roundabout‎.

(11:05am): Accreditation  is yet to commence  in Kwalli polling station, Kankarofi ward, Kano municipal, all in Kano as at10:45am. INEC officials are yet to arrive.

(11:04am): President Jonathan finally accredited manually, he returns home to have some rest, promises to return to vote.

(10:59am): President Jonathan and his wife back at the polling unit to try out his accreditation in unit 13, ward 39 of the INEC polling centre in Otuoke

(10:53am): KATSINA - The card reader brought by polling officials at Karamnawa unit of Bare ward in Bare local government has failed to read voters at PU 011.
The officials arrived the unit at 9:41am and could only accredit two voters after 45 minutes.
They have gone back to the local government headquarters to get a replacement.


(10:51am) Accreditation has begun at Polling Unit 011 at Arowojobe Street, Oshodi. A check of the accreditation time shows a range of 11 seconds to 1 minute 5 seconds per person. At a nearby polling unit, some voters whose cards couldn't be read were asked to wait by INEC officials
 (10:50am) In kofar Hausa primary school polling unit 002 and 003 in Keffi local government, accreditation started around 9am. It takes three to five minutes to clear one person.
 (10:49am) Accreditation started at Aiyetoro 1 unit 2.
Smart card reader fails. Manual accreditation going on.

(10:45am) Abakaliki: Corps members on election duty in Ebonyi State could not remember the various polling units and wards where they are assigned for the election.
:A clear example was the case at Urban New Layout Ward, located at New Layout Primary School, Abakaliki, where a female corps member had to peep into her book to remember the ward and polling unit where she is scheduled to carry out election duties.
When our correspondent asked her to mention the ward and polling unit, she said, “Hey, please wait, let me check the document.”
Her response elicited laughter from the crowd, who shouted “Jonathan pikin,” while some others shouted “INEC must go.”

(10:44am) At some polling units in Oredo LGA in Benin, accreditation yet to be begin.
Card readers are not working and voters are awaiting substitutes from INEC

(10: 42am) There seems to be frustration at polling unit 008 on Makinde Street in the Ikeja area of Lagos as the three card readers allotted there are not working.

(10:40am) BREAKING NEWS: The INEC officials in Otuoke just confirmed to Channels TV that contrary to previous reports, President Jonathan and his wife have not been accredited, after trying 4 card readers. However NE gathered that other prospective voters after President Jonathan have been accredited.

(10:38am)  Polling Units 30- 20- 13 -2 and 30- 20- 13 -4 OPEN SPACE, OYEDEJI MARKET and Olode Village in Lagelu Local Government. Accreditation in progress, No issues with the Card Readers.

(10:15am) Pako bus stop Ketu, People are on ground  but INEC OFFICIALS are yet to arrive

(9:56am) President Jonathan further speaks on his delay during accreditation:

The whole world is watching Obama,
Cameron, Zuma and other world leaders have called concerning the
elections.

President Jonathan confirms there could be hitches, believes Nigeria can conduct a free and fair election that the whole world can accept.

President Jonathan complaining about accreditation, calls INEC Chairman, Attairu Jega, says “i am not worried.”



(9:54am) John, Abuja: Materials still being distributed at the Kubwa INEC distribution Centre located at the Kubwa Village Model Primary School, by Jaji Street.
A minor disagreement between a corps member and a commercial bus driver hired to convey materials almost degenerated into fisticuffs.

(9:51am) Bukola Adebayo, Uyo: Accreditation is also yet to start at Ikot Ekang LGA, Ward 8, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

(9:51am) Chukwudi, Port Harcourt: CHIEF Anabs Sara-Igbe, former security adviser to Rivers State ex-governor, Dr. Peter Odili, had alleged that election materials meant for Wards 15 and 16, Kula, in Akuku-Toru Local Government have been diverted.

(9:50am) Moradeyoo reports, After about 30 minutes delay, and after the failure of 3 card readers at President Jonathan's polling unit in Otuoke, the 4th card reader finally worked and Mr president just finished his accreditation, while his wife is being attended to currently


BREAKING NEWS: Bomb blast at polling unit in Enugu

(9:45am)  INEC officials arrive at ward 11 unit 27 and 28 ibadan south-east local Govt. Area of Oyo state.


(9:38am): Slight delay at President Jonathan's Otuoke Polling Unit, the card reader appears to be failing. Mr President waits patiently
 (9:33am): Bayelsa President Goodluck Jonathan started accredition in his Otuoke Polling Unit. He is at the card reader stage where his finger prints were matched with his records. His wife, Patience, is next in line.

(9:22am): Accreditation began at At idumota,  ashogbon street. Lagos island. Everything is cool and calm.

(9:26am): President Goodluck Jonathan arrives his hometown, Otuoke, in Bayelsa State with wife, Patience, for accreditation. The president's mother arrived earlier at the polling unit.

 March 28th (9:19am) The polling unit at AP plaza Wuse 2 started accreditation at exactly 9:15am

 March 28th (9:16am) At Ward 11 in Ibadan south west local government, INEC officials ‎have arrived and are setting up to start accreditation of voters.
At units 18-21, where Governor Abiola Ajimobi is expected to cast his vote, officials have arrived. Security personnel are also on ground.
At ward 12, Unit 39 at Ibadan South-West Local government, INEC officials are yet to arrive.


March 28th (9:06am) Buhari and wife has been accredited in Daura.

 March 28th (9:00am): It's 9:00am and prospecive voters are at in front of Customs Quarters, Karu, Abuja still waiting for INEC officials

March 28th (8:56am): Election suspended in Ethiope Federal Constituency of Delta State due to shortage of electoral materials.
The REC Mr. Anidi Ikowak said the INEC would have gone ahead with the election but for complaints from party agents.
“Let’s finish with this one first, then we will make arrangement for that one,” he said.


Saturday, March 28th (8:46am) : Accreditation going on peacefully at St. Agnes Pry Sch, polling unit 009, Alagomeji, Lagos Mainland. The card reader is also functioning well.

Saturday, March 28th (8:46am) According to Channels TV the APC Presidential Candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has just arrived at his polling unit in Daura for accreditation.

Saturday, March 28th (8:44am) At AP plaza Wuse 2, PU/37/06/04/180 is yet to start accreditation. The INEC official arrived at exactly 8.32am and are about to set up. Voters arrived as early as 7.00am to pick up numbers before accreditation begins proper.

Saturday, March 28th (8:38am) At Iworoko Ekiti, Irepodun Ifelodun LGA, voters are gathered outside waiting for the arrival of INEC officials and materials

Saturday, March 28th (8:25am) Voters complain as election materials and presiding officers are yet to arrive at mostpolling units in Ilorin West and Ilorin South as of 8.25am although
security officers are on the ground.


Saturday, March 28th (8:25am) At Polling Unit 008, Area 2 Shopping Complex by the library in Abuja, voters have gathered and are waiting for INEC staff to arrive. Voters have given themselves queue numbers ahead of INEC's accreditation.

 Friday, March 27th (10:00pm) - REC in Jigawa, Haliru Tambawel, says House of Reps Election will not hold in seven constituencies of the state on Saturday because of lack of ballot papers.
