Ronaldo Into 7th In European All-Time Scoring Ranking

Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has moved passed Alan Shearer into seventh position in the European all-time goal-scoring ranking.
Ronaldo, who broke the La Liga hat trick record against Celta Vigo, has now surpassed the English legend among the top-5 leagues’ all-time scorers.

Shearer scored a career total of 283 league goals for Southampton, Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United.
Ronaldo surpassed Shearer’s 283 goals and sits now on 284 strikes for Manchester United (84) and Real Madrid (200).
The Portuguese only needs four more goals to move into sixth position passed Gordon Hodgson, who scored 287 goals.
Other former greats like Dixie Dean (fourth with 310 goals), Gerd Muller (second with 365 goals) and Jimmy Greaves (first with 366 goals) are still a couple of goals ahead of the 29-year-old.

Ronaldo’s rival, Lionel Messi, also moved up in the European all-time ranking following his hat trick against Espanyol.
The Argentine has now scored 256 league goals for Barcelona and moved from 16th spot into 12th position.
Messi surpassed Nat Lofthouse and Bernard Lacombe (shared 13th, 255 goals) and leveled Real Madrid legend, Raul, in 12th spot.
