Miss Okafor Adaobi Emerges Winner Of Miss One Nigeria 2016

 Last weekend was all lights and glamour as the maiden edition of Miss One Nigeria held in Awka, Anambra state. The event which was well attended saw a large turnout of event lovers, family and friends of the 14 finalists.

The contestants had a 6-day camping period during which they engaged in gym lessons, catwalk lessons, pantomime lessons, swimming lessons, talent hunt show and an unveiling party where they were unveiled publicly as contestants in the event.

The contestants also engaged in community service within the camp period as they functioned as traffic wardens at Agu Awka junction along Enugu - Onitsha expressway.
At the Grand Finale, musical artistes, pantomime dancers, comedians, actors and runway models thrilled the audience. Also through their appearances, the finalists took turns at thrilling the audience with traditional dances, Hip Hop dances, catwalk and pantomime.

It was a tight contest but Miss Okafor Success Adaobi emerged first ever crown winner of Miss One Nigeria.

Miss Adaobi who burst into tears upon her victory could not hide her excitement as she beckoned on her family, friends and fans to take photographs with her.
 Receiving her prize of a brand new Ford car, Miss One Nigeria 2016 was all tears and smiles as she thanked everyone for supporting her through the contest. She also bagged one-year wardrobe allowance.

First runner up Miss One Nigeria 2016 was clinched by Ngozi Cynthia, while second runner up Miss One Nigeria 2016 was clinched by Isabelle Franklin.  They were both presented with mobile phones and cosmetics bags and also 6 months wardrobe allowance .

Speaking after the event,   CEO of Emilet Dreams Concept -organisers of Miss One Nigeria, Emilian Chinonye noted Miss One Nigeria Beauty Pageant is a project borne out of the need to create a platform that promotes and celebrates the ‘Unity in Diversity’ of our great nation -Nigeria through entertainment.

She explained that through the camp days, the contestants were exposed to a lot of activities which they carried out together as a family including church service, tourism at Oji waterfalls Enugu, courtesy visits, dance, drama and catwalk tutorials, swimming lessons amongst others.

Miss Emilian thanked everyone who contributed and showed up to make the first edition of the event a success, disclosing that subsequent editions will take place including a reality Television show.

She further congratulated the star Queen and runners up for the night, noting that Emilet Dreams Concept would ensure that the newly emerged queens would make good use of their newly attained positions to give back to society and contribute to the growth of the nation through their pet projects.
